Dr. Thomas Blaschke held the keynote presentation at GEOBIA 2012




The fourth international conference on Geographic Object-Based Image Analysis took place in Rio de Janeiro from 7 to 9 May with more than 160 participants.. Following the successful meetings held in Salzburg, Austria (2006); Calgary, Canada (2008); and Ghent, Belgium (2010), the biannual international conference on GEOBIA could reach South America, demonstrating the world-wide interest in the development of a set of concepts, methods and applications related to this emerging field.

Dr. Blaschke highlighted in his talk GEOBIA’s key theoretical and methodological foundations, trends and research challenges.
